She advises her banking clients on matters both commercial and consumer, has experience with foreclosures, and has represented buyers in distressed acquisition transactions. She is experienced in bankruptcy law and represents entities and individuals alike in bankruptcy cases. She assists clients with estate planning as well as estate administration. Kelley practiced in Houston, Texas for twelve years prior to returning to her home state of Oklahoma.
Representative Experience
- Negotiated with the appointed Chapter 7 trustee on behalf of the purchaser of assets from a Chapter 7 bankruptcy estate and represented the buyer in the bankruptcy proceedings.
- Sought relief from the automatic stay under bankruptcy law in numerous commercial and consumer bankruptcy cases so that secured creditors may proceed with foreclosures and other state law remedies as to their collateral.
- Represented probate and trust beneficiaries to compel accountings, remove personal representatives or trustees, and recover damages against personal representatives or trustees who have misused assets or neglected their duties.
- Represented lenders in various consumer and complex commercial foreclosure cases.
- Assisted an array of clients navigating the waters of regulatory, supervisory, and enforcement issues arising from the activities of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the CFPB’s aggressive rulemaking and implementation of its programs.
